Nadia Elena Comaneci

In 1976, the Montreal Olympic Games was the moment she made history when she became the first who scored a perfect 10 in asymmetric bars. She went on to achieve six other perfect 10 and became the most youthful Olympic overall gold medalist who was only fourteen years of age. Nadia Comaneci did not just get international attention, but she also helped put Romania on the map. By achieving a score that was unattainable and a sporting legend, she brought gymnastics to the forefront of the world's interest. Women's perception of athletes was also altered by her performances. The reason for this was the impact she had in the Olympics in the same way that both move toe-on (toes on) and the release move were named in her honor. They have remained, to this day, as challenging. Aside from the Olympics she was also the hottest athlete during the World Championships and European Championships. Her performance made her one of the top gymnasts to ever compete. After her departure to the US the 'Queen of Olympics began modeling and sports equipment promotion. Nadia Nadia Nadia Nadia 2 Nadia
