Taylor-Joy said that her move was traumatic, and refused to pursue a degree in English in the hope of be able to return to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to after she left Northlands. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school plays. After she turned 16, she dropped out of school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. The dream of Taylor-Joy to become an actor of professional caliber was born at an early age.
